STIMULATING FOREIGN INVESTMENT AND DOMESTIC ECONOMIC GROWTH THROUGH SPECIAL ECONOMIC AND INDUSTRIAL ZONES (SEIZ)

As part of RPJMN, Indonesia aims to build 14 industrial zones outside of Java.

There are currently 9 SEZs approved by the government with plans for a total of 25 to be in place by 2019.

Creating sufficient infrastructure to support these 14 industrial zones is expected to cost 54 trillion Rupiah.

Once established, each SEZ is expected to attract billions of dollars in inward investment and create tens of thousands of new jobs.
